Beautiful large hand-signed and numbered (80/250) color engraving of a 'hunting decor with ducks' by Léon Danchin (1887-1938) in good condition.

Léon Danchin was a French artist who specialized in designing and painting hunting scenes. He was born on June 21, 1887 in Lille, France and studied sculpture at the School of Fine Arts in Paris before being admitted to the 'Salon des Artistes' at the age of 16. Danchin began working with watercolor and printmaking, making nearly 100 engravings and lithographs throughout his career. It enjoyed considerable commercial success in France, Belgium, the United States and England. He then moved to Bergues in northern France, where he often went hunting and sought inspiration for his works, drawing many hunting scenes that made him famous. He died on August 4, 1938 in Bergues.
