The series "Great Libraries of the World" and "Treasures of the World" offer the most beautiful and magnificent miniatures from medieval manuscripts combined in one collection. These art treasures from a world-famous library or a theme are presented as individual sheets under a passe-partout in elegant decorative boxes.
10 colored facsimile miniatures (covered with 23 ½ carat real gold) under strong passe-partouts.
These are kept in a red-brown leather case with a mounted golden eagle (replica of an emblem of the Russian National Library) and rich gold embossing.
Format approx. 45 x 34 cm.
The miniatures come from manuscripts from the Byzantine, Russian and Persian cultures, as well as Western European book illumination with Greek and French examples from the 9th to 19th centuries.
