Gustav Klimt (1862–1918) was an Austrian symbolist painter, muralist and draughtsman. He is considered the most prominent member of the Vienna Secession of which he was also chairman for a while. Characteristic for his later works, with which he became best known, is the decorative ornamentalism (often with the use of gold leaf) for which he is best known and the suggestive erotic symbolism. He mostly gained fame with his portraits of women and allegoric works, but he also painted a large number of landscapes. Klimt's art was born during an artistic flourishing in the Vienna of the belle époque and is often associated with the Jugendstil movement and Art Nouveau. His oeuvre is considered exemplary for the then tension field between conservation and the urge for progress.

This more recent print will be safely packed between two pressed plates and is sent with a Track and Trace code. You will be amazed by the quality of this art print. 67409383
