The faith of Orthodox Christians in his help in all troubles, sorrows, needs is strong. They turn to him with prayers for healing (this is due to the veneration of him as the conqueror of evil spirits, which in Christianity were considered a source of disease), they also pray to him when entering a new house and at the consecration of the house, asking salvation from thieves and natural disasters.
