Sculpture depicting a young priest or novice lighting a cigarette. The patinated bronze is from the 1940s, made with lost wax by the Italian sculptor and painter Pietro Girardi known as Posi (1894 -1971) in the Lombard school scapigliatura style. Reference: ( Commands us , illustrated dictionary of contemporary Italian painters volume IV ed. 1974 ) . In good condition, total height of 37 cm including base and pole for extinguishing candles in the church. Signature at the base and foundry mark, a unique and nice subject.
