Catawiki’s goal is to make special objects universally available. Our weekly auctions feature thousands of unusual, rare, and exceptional objects you won’t find in just any store. Antique oak scale (3x) (stick balance) or weighing stick with solid brass parts.
The weight indications are in brass.
This scale has two weighing ranges, one for small weights with a scale and one for slightly larger weights with a different scale.

An unster is a type of scale that appeared in markets in the 1st century BC.
It consists of two arms of unequal length. The goods to be weighed are hung on the shortest arm, and a weight that can move freely over that arm hangs on the longest arm. To measure a wide range of weights, the unster could be hung on different hooks.

Careful packaging, tracked and insured shipping. No shipping to non-EU countries. 67532281
