Catawiki’s goal is to make special objects universally available. Our weekly auctions feature thousands of unusual, rare, and exceptional objects you won’t find in just any store. Antique rectangular wooden loom + 10 bobbins for lace + openwork embroidery band - Late 19th century - Italy
The frame rests on a base (perhaps not coeval) which supports it and leaves the hands free. It can be disassembled into four rods that can be placed in any drawer
On two of these wooden rods called rulers, a ribbon is fixed on which the fabric to be embroidered is sewn on, then the other two wooden rods are inserted, regulating their distance on the rulers using movable nails and the embroidery proceeds. Present 10 antique wooden bobbin bobbins with thread + antique band with perforated designs
The frame has traces of ancient woodworm (exit holes) already treated. Beautiful old patina of the wood.

It will be shipped disassembled, and well protected 67396909
