Toon Koster, an artist who cannot be placed in a particular art-historical movement. His work is typified by his own style that is immediately recognizable. The Hague . The generous skies of Weissenbruch, the loose touch of Breitner and the dark palette of the Belgian expressionist Permeke can be found in his oeuvre. He studied around 1934 at the Rotterdam art academy under Johannes Heijberg and Willem van Dort. Toon Koster has exhibited in the Gemeentemuseum Apeldoorn, in the Katwijks museum and a group exhibition in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. 67508127
