Painter Gerhardus Jan Adema
Adema was a house painter in Huizum, as an artist he was self-taught. He was a member of the Association of Frisian Artists.
As a painter, Adema mainly focused on the horse.

Adema was born December 26, 1898 in Franeker and died on December 15, 1981 in Leeuwarden.
