City map of the city from a bird's eye view showing the buildings in elevation. Title in a cartouche with scroll work top center, left and right coats of arms of Holland and the city; bottom left a description in the Netherlands, the year 'Anno 1603' and the name of the engraver: 'Petrus Kaerius caelavit', bottom right a description in Latin.
The map first appeared in 1609; this copy from Ludovico Guicciardini, 'Beschryvinghe van alle de Nederlanden; elsesins ghen names Neder-Duytslandt', Amsterdam, Willem Jansz. [= Willem Blaeu], 1613.
