Factitious collection bringing together, in particular, in the first edition, a political text by Chateaubriand published under the Restoration, in which he takes up and develops the themes of the Monarchy according to the Charter. In this pamphlet, the publication of which he had deferred, hoping for an agreement with the government, Chateaubriand denounced the electoral embezzlement and the government's alliance to the left. He warns him against this policy which excludes the royalists and benefits the former revolutionaries. The pamphlet was a great success. (Talvart, 17).
