One of the best editions of La Fontaine's Fables. Complete work in six volumes.

Excellent internal conservation. Wear on the beautiful coeval bindings and in full leather with the front plates. from the 1st and 5th volume detached, as shown in the photos, and the others almost detached due to problems with the belts.

Volume I: LXXI + 100 pp. + 44 boards. Volume II, + 102 pp., + 40 tables. Volume III: IV, 95, (1) pp. + 43 tables. Volume IV: (2), 103, (1) + 35 tables. Volume V: (6), 134, + 45 plates. Volume VI: (2),115, (1) pp. + 36 tables. cm. 20.5 x 13.5.

A complex, therefore, of 243 plates f.t. to which are added cartoons and 226 cul-de-lampe.

Gold cuts. On the plates, triple framing fillet in gold.
