The work constitutes a critique of the disorder and interpretative arbitrariness that constituted the procedural system in force in the Grand Court of the Vicar appellate judiciary of all the courts of the kingdom for criminal and civil cases. The solution proposed to resolve the crisis of Common Law is the formalization of a well-paced system of process rules according to individual acts.
