Catawiki’s goal is to make special objects universally available. Our weekly auctions feature thousands of unusual, rare, and exceptional objects you won’t find in just any store. Pietro Virgilio Lietti was born in Monza in 1928. Son of an artist, he learned his first teachings from his father Guido, sculptor, decorator and teacher at Villa Reale. He lives and works in Brianza and it is above all his places that inspire the landscapes of his artistic production. His style draws inspiration above all from post-impressionist poetics.

The painter paints what he sees with an acute gift of observation. In reproducing the vision of a landscape or perhaps a glimpse of a rustic village, he knows how to add that pinch of vibrant vitality, with glazes and touches, to ensure that the finished work comes alive with his lyrical and emotional music. On the back we find stamps of the artist's studio and declaration of authenticity.
