Al Kharshi became fanius and his status was publicity and privately recognised. The sheik was widely aware of the diversity of cultures in particular the interpretation of the Quran and the jurisprudence of the doctrine of Imam Malik bin Anas. he therefore left an extensive Arabic and Islamic library.
This part of this manuscript contains 65 pages composed of 26 lines of Black ink and natural red lines in oriental writing on very thick linen paper , some of these are stuck together but they are easily detached, there are a few staubs but the text is good
size 29X19 bound in Garnet coloured leather , by its former owner.
the Position of tGrand Imam of Al Azhar was introduced in the 17th century during the Ottoman reign in Egypt, An Alzhar historian Al Jabaerti places the the death of Sheik Mohamed Al Kharashi in 1690 and identifies him as the first Grand Imam of al Azhar, it was indeed from that time onwards that the Al Azhar mosque University established a hierarchical organisation to manage its growing activities . 67383683
