Prachtige set, die bij iedereen in de kast zou moeten staan. De Metamorphosen hebben al alles, maar de Tristia zijn werkelijk ongelooflijk. Uit ballingschap aan zijn echtgenote schrijft Ovidius: "Barbarus hic ego sum, quia non intellegor ulli" (Ik ben hier de barbaar, want ze begrijpen mij niet).
