Plateel Rare vase made at Plateelbakkerij Dortsche Kunstpotterij DKP 1903-1908
Founded by the Mak brothers.
In the first year of existence there were production problems.
In January 1905 the Rozenburg painter Jan van der Vet started working at
Rozenburg, but he too could not turn the tide.
Designer Jan van der Vet left the company in 1907
On August 1, 1908, production ceased.
So a very short existence. Vases are therefore fairly rare.

Beautiful very abstract 'rough' decor.
Designer and painter Jan van der Vet
A very clear abstract interpretation of the Jugendstil even then.
A precursor of the later Art Deco movement. You might even see an early cobra
style that you also see in some of Henri's works
Breetvelt.
In beautiful condition.
Height: 22.3 cm
Top diameter: 4 cm
Bottom diameter: 10 cm 67451233
