Very nice large work in oil on canvas depicting a Dutch landscape with a windmill and a farmer's wife on a bridge.

This imposing artwork of 1.20 x 95 cm in pastel shades was created by the Flemish painter Fons van der Velde (1870 – 1936).

He was one of the many refugees who sought refuge in the neutral Netherlands from Belgium in 1914 at the start of the First World War. There he ended up in Leiden and never left.

The condition of this beautiful work is good. Recently cleaned and signed lower left. You can have a frame of your choice made around it. 67552455
