The V140 is a diesel hydraulic locomotive developed in 1934/35 of which only 1 was built. The Deutsche Reischbahn (DR) had the plan to replace the steam locomotives on the branch lines with diesel trains for both freight and passenger transport.
The locomotive is still on display at Lokwelt Freilassing in Germany.
