COMPLETE WORK in 3 volumes.

Elegant and refined coeval full leather bindings with rich decorations in "Empire style", with slight wear but overall well preserved. Endpapers in marbled paper. Golden cuts.

Volume I: pp. (VIII), 331, (I). COMPLETE, with the translator's portrait on the frontispiece.

Volume II: pp. (IV), 528. COMPLETE, with a folded plate of the Shield of Achilles.

Volume III: pp. (IV), 573, (III). BUSINESS SUIT.

Exemplars with leaves in overall good condition, only a few damp stains in volume I.

Paul Jérémie Bitaubé (1732-1808) was a famous translator of Homer and a member of the Institut de France and of the Royal Academy of Berlin. 67381373
