Catawiki’s goal is to make special objects universally available. Our weekly auctions feature thousands of unusual, rare, and exceptional objects you won’t find in just any store. Born in Naples in 1950, where he still lives and works today, Alfredo Grimaldi is an artist renowned for his unmistakable naive style and for his bright and joyful colours.
Worthy heir of Maestro Athos Faccincani, he is one of the most loved and appreciated artists by the public, collectors and critics (the art critic Mario Monteverde called him "The Master of Color" and "The Poet of the Brush").
Lover of beautiful Mediterranean landscapes, he represents them on canvas in a fable-like and poetic key, giving them a one-of-a-kind perspective system.
Each of his paintings is characterized by a bright blue sky, typical Mediterranean houses and the lush colors of the vegetation.
His works are exhibited in many Italian and international public and private collections. 67525531
