Albert Caullet was a painter, draftsman and watercolorist. His oeuvre consists of still lifes, village and town views and landscapes. His style can be called impressionistic or romantic-realistic.
Education at the academy in Kortrijk and afterwards at the academy in Antwerp, led by F. Van Leemputten. Realized landscapes, village views, scenes with cattle, among other things. Stayed in Sables-d'Olonne in 1940 and painted a few harbor and coastal scenes. Worked in England from 1946 to 1949.
From the press: 'He made his animals move in a fascinating landscape with a subtle play of light. He projected horses, cows and sheep into village scenes and showed an interest in the characteristic aspects of the industrial Leie or of the Heulebeek landscapes. Became a teacher and was for a time acting director at the Academy in Kortrijk. Work in the Museum in Kortrijk, among others.
