Jacob Abraham "Jacques" Zon (21 April 1872 in The Hague – 27 March 1932) was a Dutch painter, draftsman, graphic artist and illustrator. As a thirteen-year-old, Zon was taught by Willem Maris.
After the First World War, Jacques Zon traveled through Belgium, France and Italy. He was mainly inspired by the coast of Brittany, in particular the fishing village of Concarneau. Many works with the subject of the sea, the beach and the fishing boats resulted. Influenced by the southern landscape and French modern art, Zon began to paint in lighter colors and with a more refined brush, making his work sunnier and more vibrant.
