Jean-Baptiste-Sylvestre Cappellemans was the founder (1754) of faiencerie Cappellemans and was succeeded by Guillaumes Cappellemans (1775-1854)
they were originally based in Jemappes (Walonie); later based in Brussels (Halle) from 1838 to 1894 with an interim bankruptcy in 1870 - led by 3 sons of Guillaumes.
in the period from 1838 there was a collaboration with the English William Smith
