Collection of 2 works or rather unusual tourist guides published respectively in 1822 and 1821.
The first, in the original edition, offers a visit to the Palace and the gardens of Versailles in 3 days, starting from Paris, avenue de Versailles. This is a tourist guide by Jean Vaysse de Villiers (1767-1834) - relay post inspector, geographer and historian. who published with Potey a series of guides "Descriptive itinerary, or Road description" published from 1813 to 1835, the volumes before 1815 were titled "Road and geographical description of the French Empire".

The second is the new edition of a guide to the château and gardens of the Tuileries, illustrated with 4 folding plates. Work first published under the title "Promenade savante des Tuileries." attributed to Marie-Nicolas-Silvestre Guillon (1749-1847),

Contemporary binding in half sheepskin, decorated smooth spine.
Binding as is, solid, past leather, leveled caps, accident with losses to the head cap. Interior with foxing mainly on the first and last leaves of the first text.
