This Mechanical Walking Tiger was made in Japan in the 1950s/60s by Marx Toys.
The toy tiger's design was in response to the Esso petrol companies' "Put a tiger in your tank" advertising campaign of the "Esso Tiger".
Height about 25 cm.
It is in excellent and very nice shape.
This tiger has pewter litho legs and he is holding a small bunch of flowers. The wheels on the bottom of the legs are fine and it has a built-in key. He walks, turns his head and both arms move up and down. It is in beautiful condition.
