École Militaire (fra. Military School) it is a large building complex in which the military school is located. It is located in Paris, southeast of the Champ de Mars.
The school was opened in 1751 at the urging of Madame de Pompadour and with the support of King Louis XV. The original name was the École royale Militaire (Mr. Military Royal School). It was built on the left bank of the Seine, near the Hôtel des Invalides. The building was designed by court architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel and his successor, Alexandre-Théodore Brongniart, continued the project. (wikipedia) 67382737
