Very interesting book for historians and genealogists.
Almanac which follows the royal and national almanacs published without interruption since 1699. It gives the names of the main public officials in Paris and in the provinces, the nomenclature of the cities with the number of inhabitants, schedules of the stagecoaches, etc. The administrations had to provide the publisher Testu with the lists of civil servants before December 15 so that the almanac appeared at the beginning of January. (Cartert The French Almanacs, 1433).
Copy covered in a modern binding in full brown cloth, gilt fleurons and title labels on the spine. - Binding in excellent condition. Fresh interior, wetting in the lower margin. of the first 200 pages approx., without affecting the text. Very good general condition.
