This collection of romantic poetry was composed by Louis Mercx and printed in Brussels by Ad. Stapleaux in 1802.
This copy is illustrated with 6 engraved vignettes, one signed G. Jacowick and the other Cardon, with rural themes, as well as a gouache vignette with a rose.
The author was president of the High Council of Justice, sitting in Brussels, and a member of the Literature Society of Brussels, which was founded on January 10, 1800 and dissolved in 1823. 67431655
