Francesco Toraldo was born in Catanzaro in 1960.
In 1974 he enrolled in the art school of Catanzaro, where he attended only one year, however it was in the studio of his father Enzo - also a painter - that he learned the fundamental rules of color which allowed him to begin with his first oils. His first exhibitions were in the eighties in Genoa, Rome and Lecce.

Beautiful multiple work, by Maestro Francesco Toraldo in which the influence, in his style, of American Abstract Expressionism is evident, especially Pollock and action painting. In the production of his works we can detect a very strong gestural component that leads him to fill the surfaces forming a chaotic vortex of colors. Finally, from this vortex emerges the figuration, the subject of the canvas, which blends harmoniously.
