Large Nove tray, Pasquale Antonibon factory, second half of the 18th century.
Oval-shaped polychrome majolica with a mixtilinear border. Flat base. Floral chain border. "Ponticello" decoration with pagodas and pyramids among flowering vines. The Persian-inspired "Ponticello" decoration is the best known of the traditional eighteenth-century decorations of the Antonibon factory.
Dimensions: 28.5cm x 34.5cm.
Conservation: the tray is in a good state of conservation. Note the presence along the edges of small holes, probably due to the presence of air bubbles in the clay. However, this firing defect does not compromise the importance and pleasantness of the object. On the back of the tray, near the edge, the marks left by the hooks used to keep the object attached to the wall are visible.
