High quality crystal glass with bevelled edges and measures approximately 9 3/4" square, 24.7 x 24.7 cm.
The image shows the famous Mercedes Grand Prix/Formula One racing car from around 1954, the Silver Arrow (or Stromlinie) W196.
Very rare glass-crystal dish by Rosenthal Studio-Line of Germany, in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation and Mercedes Daimler Benz.
The glass-crystal is perfect, new, so far, since the purchase, placed in the drawer.
The color that varies according to the background light is fantastic: from more or less intense blue to purple or lilac.
This is a piece which I believe dates from 1986 (commemorating Daimler-Benz centenary) is part of one of the last series that were completed before Andy Warhol's death in 1987.
