The artist Michael Theis, studied at the Berlin University of the Arts, lives and works in Berlin and Lehnin Monastery. In addition to oil painting and acrylic painting, his main areas of work include various printing techniques such as woodcuts and linocuts. Numerous exhibitions and sales of his works at home and abroad document his creativity. His paintings can be seen in private collections across Europe.
In his pictures, Theis combines archetypal signs and text fragments with anatomical studies and expressionist pictorial structures.
