A truly magnificent work of art ("moored ship", oil on panel) by the Dutch artist Gerard Koekkoek (1871-1956). 4th Generation Cuckoo Family! With authentic gilded frame. Signed lower left. Dimensions with frame: 65 cm. x 57cm. Panel size: 41 cm. x 32.5cm. The general condition of the work is good. The frame has some signs of use. The work can be viewed at Kunsthandel Martins in Wolvega and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Biography:
Hilversum 1871 - Hilversum 1956 Gerardus Johannes (Gerard) Koekkoek was a pupil of his father J.H.B. Koekkoek and later by H.W. Jansen and P. Dupont. Gerard Koekkoek lived, apart from a short period of residence in Amsterdam, The Hague, France and Germany, mainly in Hilversum.
