Catawiki’s goal is to make special objects universally available. Our weekly auctions feature thousands of unusual, rare, and exceptional objects you won’t find in just any store. 1932 Fiat Balilla Spider Militare in very good condition.

Very rare and exclusive military spider version produced in limited numbers. Fewer than 10 units are currently estimated to still exist. This unit must have arrived in Spain with the Italian troops sent during the Civil War (1936-1939), but its history is unknown.

It is known to have been restored in the 1970s, and from then on it was used in various rallies and classic events. There is graphic evidence of its participation in rallies in the 1970s.

It is not known whether during the restoration or before, the car was converted into a 'normal' roadster, as shown in the photos. Originally the rear of the body was square (see black and white photos included). Footrests were also added, which can be easily removed.

Otherwise, it retains all the original features of the rare 'Militare' version: it has no front or rear bumpers and the fenders are different from those of normal Balilla cars (they are shorter, and especially the rear fenders have a higher rear end).

The car can be left as it is, in the shape of a beautiful roadster, or it can be restored to its 'Militare' look, simply by making the rear end square again.

This is a 508 Balilla of the first series with a 3-speed gearbox. In very good working condition in general. Rust-free. Canvas convertible hood and windows in perfect condition.

Original number plates from Barcelona. Valid ITV (Spanish vehicle inspection). Ready to be used. The seller ships all over Europe.

It is located near Barcelona, Spain. 67312077
