Catawiki’s goal is to make special objects universally available. Our weekly auctions feature thousands of unusual, rare, and exceptional objects you won’t find in just any store. clear white plates or serving dishes, made in the art deco period by Val Saint Lambert / Luxval designed by Charles Graffart
These belong to the series "Côtes plates" and are listed in the catalog 1935, see attached print.

The bowls are made of clear pressed glass where a particle has been added to crystal, this to obtain a nicer shine.

The bowls are in mint condition, however, by being in stock for decades, there may be some signs of ageing.
Since the original VSL sticker is still in the middle of the shell, it is proof that they have never been used.

Considering the age, some traces of use may be present, as well as imperfections such as glass threads and air bubbles are completely normal for art deco glassware. This is not abnormal for glassware that is almost 100 years old.

Very nice unique piece for lovers of Val Saint Lambert / Luxval
