3 volumes of war memoirs and 2 volumes of works (see precise content in the photos).
War Memoirs is a work written by Charles de Gaulle, which includes three volumes. Each corresponds to a specific stage of the Second World War: The Call, 1940-1942 (1954), Unity, 1942-1944 (1956) and Salvation, 1944-1946 (1959).
Charles de Gaulle exposes in this book the history of Free France during the Second World War and describes its unfolding in great detail. He adds, to support his remarks, numerous documents, such as maps, telegrams, letters, transcriptions of speeches or interviews. He presents himself as a defender of traditional French values, as a patriot fighting for the greatness of his country, and the first sentences of these Memoirs already reflect his national pride and his vision of France.
