On the back, a label with the title "La plage de Kno.... / par Musin / Vente François...", another label "25" as well as a wax seal "F. Musin à Ostende"
François Musin is a Belgian marine painter. We find in his work many beach landscapes similar to ours but with various locations. We thus have Dunkirk, La Panne, Nieuport, Ostend or Blakenbergue. I therefore chose to put a question mark on the annotation on the back indicating Knokke.
A retrospective exhibition on François Musin was organized at the Museum of Fine Arts in Ostend in 1989-90. 67550575
