This nice Fiat 1200 spider was imported from Italy in 2002. Its previous owner kept it for 40 years and looked after it with great care. The car was hardly used when it rained and that is why it preserves its structure in very good condition.
At the chassis level, the necessary parts were repaired in 2003, but little attention was necessary since it was already in good condition. The new exterior paintwork was done in 2019 and is in very good condition, both in terms of maintenance and brightness.
The chrome looks like new and there are no dings, it is impeccable. The interior is in original condition. The original seats and rubber carpet show normal signs of wear, but are not torn or cracked.
The hood is the original one and shows signs of use; it would be advisable to change it if the car is going to be used in winter, as it is not very permeable.
On a mechanical level, everything necessary has been maintained and repaired. Brakes, clutch and mechanical parts were repaired in 2003, and since then the necessary repairs have been made for proper operation and maintenance in general.
The car is in perfect working order and has a very good handling. New wheels and new brakes were fitted in 2019. The car has its original hard top, a very rare piece for this model and year. The hard top is in original condition and has not been restored. If you want to mount it on the car it should be restored, although all its parts, mouldings, closures, etc. are complete.
