La Posta between news history and collecting Volume of 360 pages published in 1997 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Sicilian Philatelic Union 1947-1997
On the third internal page, a handwritten dedication to the former owner of the volume (surname obscured in the photo) with authentic signature of Nino Aquila.
With color and black and white photos, hard cover, in very good/excellent condition, volume measures 24.5 cm x 17 cm x thickness 2.8 cm - Weight approx. 1.100 kg


Nino Aquila, Palermo 7 July 1925 - 17 September 2013.
Doctor, specialized in radiology, with the vocation of the writer.
Scholar of postal history, he boasts important national and international posts in the philatelic field.
In 1978 he was entered in the Golden Register of Italian Philately;
was awarded the "Crawford Medal" of the Royal Philatelic Society of London,
top world recognition for philatelic non-fiction;
member of the European Academy of Philately, of the Monte Carlo Club of the Elite de la Philatelie, of the Italian Academy of Postal History; he presided over the Sicilian Philatelic Union.
"The Stamps of the Last Kings" is his best known work, published by Bolaffi. 60546211
