Beautiful original engraving in a late edition, trimmed along the framing line, on laid paper, very fresh print in excellent condition (see photos). Signed on the sheet of paper hanging on the right "C. Visscher Inv. et Sculp. 1655". In final state. A ratcatcher, three-quarter view, accompanied by a dog and a small boy on the right holding a post topped with a cage from which some dead rats dangle; the rat catcher wears a fur cap and cape and has a box over his shoulder.
