Antique wooden footstool from, it is estimated, early 19th century, but could also be earlier. Old yellow painting and top with a dark green cover of leather-like material that is fastened with copper tacks. Round wooden stick to make both sides firmer. In one side there is an old crack that has been reinforced with a small board with nails. The paint is worn off here and there on the corners. Old black (presumably oak) wood is visible there.
Beautiful little antique piece of folk art.
