Edition for bibliophiles produced by Javal and Bourdeaux, of the famous Platonic dialogue on the dense of Paul Valéry (1871-1945) Illustrated with superb compositions (Art Deco) in colors by Edouard Léon, engraved on copper by the artist:
12 beautiful original compositions engraved on copper with color identification including half-titled cover, title vignette, inset frontispiece, justification of the print run, 1 full-page, 1 header and 5 in-text, finished with to print.

Total edition of 500 copies. One of the 300 numbered on Arches vellum (n°483), enriched with a monochrome suite on vellum.

Great refinement of the edition, bright colors of the page borders, headbands, tailpieces, color engravings with identification on copper, out of text.

Compositions drawn by Porcaboeuf and Leblanc and Trautmann.
