Expert's comment: Like most of the artists of the new school of Paris Magdalena Reinharez is from Eastern Europe, she arrived in France very young. Her training as a sculptor and then as a painter, she acquired it in various workshops including those of Fernand Léger and André Lothe. She then forged her look at composition, volumes and shapes, which she would develop in her painting, drawing and then sculpture works. Maria Reinharez's favorite subjects are landscapes and animals, including the horse that she particularly likes. But what inspires the artist the most in her works is the movement that she restores in a remarkable way in her paintings, in her ink drawings and in her sculptures. In painting, movement is reinforced by the contrast between the liveliness of the brushstroke and the choice of a palette of pastel colors. Her contemporaries consider her a very talented animal sculptor who knows how to restore both power and fragility in her subjects. His works on bullfighting once again show us the quality of the artist who knows how to show the restrained power of the animal and the elegance of the bullfighter in a dramatic ballet. In his works, the artist oscillates between figurative and abstract to better convey his emotions to us and touch the viewer even before he grasps the meaning. During her career, Magdanela Reinharez will obtain numerous prizes including the first prize of the Dome in 1955. She will participate in numerous salons and personal and collective exhibitions in France and in Le Monde. In the 2000s the artist will participate in other salons "critical figuration". 67505649
