A Persian carpet Malayer (Hamadan region, Western Persia).

South of Hamadan is the small settlement of Malayer, which is known its for fine and individual carpets with excellent quality.

A frame-filling blue medallion with jagged and stepped sides and niche-shaped ends to the end of the field.
The center of the blue field is a relatively large tree. Another tree is additionally knotted as fertility with two small guardian birds.
People and bird depicted in pairs as well as four-legged motifs with -a single bird on the crown of the tree (see photos).
The entire red niche fields with small animal motifs and other elements.
The main border with geometric bent tendrils and offset boteh motifs, framed by two narrowed tendril borders also with boteh motifs.

Age: around 1900.

Dimensions: Approx. 2.14 x 1.34 meters - Foot approx. 7 x 4.3".

Material: wool on cotton with natural colors.

Condition: Uneven pile with low spots and signs of age.
On the blue area some old re-piling and improvements (see photos).
Ends and edges secured well and thoroughly (see photos).
Overall impression good and okay. interesting wanted-
Collectible with creative unique patterning and display.
