Huge altar straw of the Coptic religion, painted in tempera on canvas in the early 1900s. The Coptic Catholic Church is one of the Eastern Catholic churches, which separated from the Coptic Orthodox Church and in communion with the Church of Rome. I think it comes from the Horn of Africa, and measures 270x110 cm at the maximum points. The canvas has been folded for many years and in some places the polychromy is missing. It comes from the collection of a former Italian embassy official located in the horn of Africa. 67224779
