Volvo P1800 ES from 1973 in very beautiful mechanical and cosmetic condition.
In 1972 Volvo introduced the latest version of the 1800 model, the ES, changing the body to a station wagon with a large glass tailgate.
The ES version features an improved 1.8L engine developing 125 horsepower thanks to a lower compression ratio.
The road handling of this version is improved accordingly.
As a special feature of this 1800 ES model, the loading area becomes completely flat when the rear seats are folded down.
Comes with its original three-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission.
The US model offered here was purchased in the Netherlands in 2015.
Its owner then drove it back to France, in the Paris region, without any problems.
Since its purchase, this superb Volvo has been driven very little, it has been overhauled and made reliable, has new tyres, oil and filters.
Its engine runs perfectly and its Borg-Warner automatic gearbox is working very well.
Another special feature is its dual-fuel system, with the installation of a fully functional LPG system.

New paintwork and new interior, this Volvo P1800 ES from 1973 is in very good cosmetic condition (apart from 2 or 3 micro impacts on the bodywork and cracked dashboard).
Clean overall, very well overhauled, perfectly functional, with very nice appearance, many original documents, with a bi-fuel petrol/LPG system that works very well, it is a superb specimen of a 1973 Volvo P1800 ES station wagon that has just celebrated its 49th birthday and not aged a bit!
