Hand-colored WORLD MAP in 2 hemispheres; the 4 corners contain allegorical representations of Europe, Asia, Africa and America. Above and below 2 circles with representations of the solar system. The upper circle has the sun as its center (Copernicus), the lower one the Earth as its center (Ptolemy).

CONDITION: Clear, sharp print with nice contrast. Some small pleat cracks professionally repaired, slight discolouration, some small insignificant spots. Margins (narrowest side): Top margin: 1.8 cm; bottom margin, 1.0 cm; left margin: 1.8 cm; right margin: 1.5 cm.
