The birth of Spiaggina-type cars dates back to the immediate post-war period. Body shop mechanics creatively converted economy cars to suit the needs of a few wealthy customers, who used them when going to fashionable seaside resorts.
The name "Spiaggina" comes from one of the first cars of its kind, the 1958 Fiat 500 Boano Spiaggia, built on the Fiat Nuova 500 platform and mechanics and designed by Mario Boano. Although two models only were manufactured, the car immediately grew to fame in news magazines around the world to be photographed alongside its owners: Gianni Agnelli and Aristotele Onassis.
This Spiaggina evocation was restored years ago, and its bodywork and mechanics are in excellent condition. It has had only one previous owner.
There is no rust.
The car does not have a sunshade roof.
The car will be serviced here in Reggio Emilia before delivery.
