The presentation in the Temple. oblong print, c. 1639. Etching. Excellent impression on laid paper, 21,2 x 29 cm (platemark clearly visible), 24 x 31,2 (sheet). A very small hole (1 mm) upper side, barely visible. 1,2 cm, of margins.

The dark Temple is brightened by the light emanating from the Holy Gost. The variation of lights and shadows creates an atmosphere rich in mood. The figures in full light are delineated with outline only. Superb cross-hatching in other figures: the dog at left, Mary and Simeon in the center or the extraordinary figure seen from behind on the right side
